Matala Beach Festival 2016 Attracts Record Breaking Crowds [video]

matalaOver the weekend the Matala Beach Festival 2016 took place in Matala on the Greek island of Crete.
The attendance truly exceeded expectations and provided Matala with many tourists as visitors packed onto the beach and the camping grounds filled with festival-goers.
Entertainers who graced the Caves Stage at the event drew loyal crowds. Performances from Koza Mostra, Billi Merziotis & After Hours, Soul Fire, Alone Together, Tonis Sfinos, Onramp and Sgt. Pepper’s Beatles were among the star-studded line up.
The festival showcased many bands and genres of music. Some bands performed classic rock the from the ’60s and ’70s and a touch of hard rock and heavy metal of the ’90s.
The crowd also was entertained with live swing, jazz and latin music.
Completing the line-up was interpretations of well-known songs such as the Beatles’ “She loves you” and “All you need is love.”
The attendance of the festival showed record figures unlike ever before as visitors danced the night away all weekend long.
