A phone conference between PM Alexis Tsipras and Angela Merkel took place on Wednesday morning. The PM’s intention was to express his displeasure for the non-observance of the agreement on the handling of the refugee and migrant crisis.
Tsipras demanded to speed up the efforts of the agreement and to commence immediately the NATO operation in order to dismantle the networks of human trafficking and to reduce the refugee and migrant flows.
Angela Merkel committed to pressuring Austria in order to make a decision that will benefit Greece, in Wednesday’s meeting in Vienna. She also committed to continue her efforts in order to pressure Angora, regarding the NATO operation in the Aegean.
