Fin Min: Greece to Return to Bond Markets Second Half of 2016

tsakGreek finance minister Euclid Tsakalotos told Reuters that Greece plans to return to bond markets in the second half of 2016.
Tsakalotos was in London on Tuesday to speak to international investors and meet with hedge funds. He reiterated that Greece plans to return to bond markets in the second half of 2016, as a Greek finance ministry source told the Financial Times earlier.
“It was a general overall issue of the roadmap, the Greek economy, how the (bank) recap is going and when we expect to return to markets and so on,” Tsakalotos told Reuters.
Greece has not issued state bonds since July 2014 and has been in danger of leaving the Eurozone this summer after acrimonious negotiations with creditors.
During his stay in London, the Greek finance minister will speak at the London School of Economics on the subject “Economic Blues: The left in government times.”
Tsakalotos will try to present to the British audience the perspectives of a leftist government in Greece touching on the subject of the possibility of a new economic model, as sources from the finance ministry said.
