Fashion icon and Nasty Gal founder Sophia Amoruso has a new project on her mind after stepping down as the CEO of the company she started: a #Girlboss radio show.
Amoruso has done a lot with her #Girlboss brand, even releasing a book entitled #Girlboss about her life, and her experience running a massively successful fashion start-up as a woman.
Now, Amoruso has built a recording studio in a former storage space next to her office, and has been working hard into getting her weekly #Girlboss podcast off the ground.
At first, the self-made woman tried to teach herself everything there was to know about podcasting, but then brought in expert consultants to help her make sure her show would become a success.
Her idea for the radio show was that she would go beyond just her story, and reach out to other women with interesting ideas and stories to tell. Her first guest was Charlize Theron, then Grace Helbig, which she will soon follow up with Madeline Poole and Sally Hansen.
As Amoruso herself said: “[These are] women who are kind of world class in their field who have made it in some way or another, whatever that means, but who have figured something out [and] who have an interesting story to share.”
Tune in to the #Girlboss podcast and follow Amoruso’s weekly interviews.
