Apocalyptic Images Due to Tornado in Peloponnese, Greece

stormsA wave of bad weather conditions has hit Greece, starting from the west, which is expected to last until Wednesday, according to weather forecasters. Strong winds, heavy rainfalls and storms have hit the country, especially in the areas of Kalamata, Preveza, Laconia Skala and the Greek island of Ithaca.
Shops were destroyed, trees fell, cars were turned upside down across main roads, and several people were injured when a tornado hit Skala in Laconia, Greece. According to the residents, it all started around 8 am on Monday. The area has been experiencing a power failure since then, while the municipal services are doing anything in their power to help.
Meanwhile, in Kalamata, Greece a heavy storm started a few minutes after 7am on Monday, causing enormous damages and serious accidents. Several graves in the local cemetery were destroyed, while a truck was overturned by strong winds. Extensive damages were also caused to many homes and factories, while Greek authorities are trying to repair the damage so that traffic can once again move smoothly.
Furthermore, the road of Preveza turned into rivers and dozens of basements in the city center flooded after the storm that hit the city. The regional civil protection unit is on standby as the storm is moving towards other cities in Epirus.
Finally, a small storm also hit and Patras turning the roads into small rivers and causing many trees to fall.
