Greece will open its doors to the “2nd Symposium of Seven Wise Men of the World in Cosmology,” from October 2 to October 4, 2015.
Three Nobel Laureates in Physics and four prominent Cosmology scientists have been invited to participate in interesting roundtable debates that will be held in Athens’ Concert Hall and Ancient Messinia’s Costa Navarino Resort.
The Symposium will include a strictly scientific meeting and an interesting interaction between scientists and the public. The so-called “Seven Wise Men” will also be honored for their contribution in the evolution of the scientific sector during a special ceremony.
The scientists that will participate in the event are: American nuclear physicist James Cronin, British astrophysicist George Petros Efstathiou, American particle physicist and string theorist David Jonathan Gross, English mathematical physicist, mathematician and philosopher of science Sir Roger Penrose, American astrophysicist and cosmologist George Fitzgerald Smoot, Russian astrophysicist and cosmologist Alexei Alexandrovich Starobinsky, as well as Italian theoretical physicist and string theory pioneer Gabriele Veneziano.
