British Journalist Tom Bradby Shocked Over Man Committing Suicide in Greece

rafina-suicideBritish ITV journalists Tom Bradby was shocked when he saw a Greek man at the port of Rafina, near Athens, drive his car off the harbor, on Sunday August 16. Bradby who happened to be in Greece on vacation rushed to jump in the water in an attempt to save the 70-year-old man, but unfortunately he was not able to get him out of the car.
Furthermore, through his personal account on Twitter, the journalist claimed that only one out of ten port authority and police officers jumped in the sea to save the unfortunate man, while “the rest watched.”
Bradby was “shocked and angered” by the incident which occurred in the port of Rafina around 4:30 pm. The Rafina Port Authority has confirmed that the 70-year-old passed away. However, authorities have not yet made any comment to refute the journalist’s allegations.
The man was eventually taken out of the car with the assistance of the Underwater Missions Unit. He was unconscious and he was immediately take to Sismanogleio General Hospital of Athens where his death was confirmed.
