Hindu Statesman Zed and Greek Orthodox Metropolitan Gerasimos Discuss in Nevada

In a remarkable interfaith gesture, His Eminence Metropolitan Gerasimos of the Greek Orthodox Christian Metropolis of San Francisco and Hindu statesman Rajan Zed met in Nevada, USA, today and had a constructive dialogue.

Zed and Gerasimos discussed various topics around interfaith dialogue, religious freedom, spirituality, environment, status of religion, participation of youth, prayer, bringing cohesion and unity among communities, etc. Gerasimos invited Zed to visit the San Francisco Greek Orthodox Metropolis.

Gerasimos, who visited Nevada for a few days this week, oversees over 150,000 Greek Orthodox faithful in the states of Alaska, Arizona, California, Hawaii, Nevada, Oregon and Washington through 67 parishes and missions, and three monastic communities; under the leadership of Ecumenical Patriarch of Constantinople His All Holiness Bartholomew based in Istanbul, Turkey.

Zed is President of the Universal Society of Hinduism, a worldwide Hindu organization.
