Vicky Stamatis’ petition to be released from prison was denied by the five member Court of Appeals.
The court unanimously denied Stamatis’ petition, after the prosecutor’s suggestion to refuse her exit from the prison. Vicky Stamatis, the wife of former Greek politician, Akis Tsochatzopoulos has been given a 12 year sentence.
Vicky Stamatis did not appear in court due to health problems.
Akis Tsohatzopoulos’ wife has been in prison since April 2012 for the case of money laundering and illegal funds which the former Minister of Defense received for choosing armament programs.
