Travel Bloggers Meet at TBEX 2014 Held in Athens

athensAfter concerted and methodical effort by the municipality of Athens and the Athens Convention and Visitors Bureau (ACVB) of the Company of Development and Tourism Promotion in Athens (EATA), the city was chosen to organize the international annual meeting of travel bloggers and tourist media writers, called TBEX 2014.
This is one of the most sought after and demanding events of the global tourism community, which will be attended by more than 1,000 bloggers, writers, content creators/contributors, agents and professionals in the tourism market with intense activity in social media from around the world.
The choice of Athens as host city for the event that will take place in October 2014, is an extremely important development for the location and the city’s image in the international tourism and travel market. The touristic destinations that host TBEX, receive colossal and immediate recognition on the online platforms for social and professional networking (blogs, podcasts, YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Instagram, Flickr, Google +, etc.), which receive millions of views, reports and posts, before, during and after the meeting.
TBEX lasts three days, during which a series of meetings, seminars and presentations take place with the participation of internationally renowned experts and celebrities. The event is accompanied by a program full of social events and activities focusing on the host city.
The Athens Concert Hall (Megaron International Conference Centre) has been selected as the location of the meeting. ACVB has already started planning the event and preparing the program and certain other events that will take place during the same period of time.
The TBEX 2014 is sponsored by the Greek National Tourism Organization.
