People Return to Homeland Through Greece's Repatriation Programs

σδφγηξThe foreigners of various nationalities have returned to their countries of origin in October 2013. Since August 2012,  30,009 foreigners have returned to their homelands in total, through the voluntary repatriation programs of the International Organization for Migration, and also through the obligatory returns and voluntary departures conducted by the Greek Police.
More specifically, in October, the Deportation Department put in place return decisions, due to illegal entry into our country that were issued against 356 foreigners, who returned to their countries with the help of the Greek Police.
Indicatively, the largest numbers of returns was for Pakistan (111 people), Albania (90 people), Algeria (26 people), Georgia (18 people) and Romania (11 people).
At the same time, the Attica Aliens Directorate, in cooperation with the International Organization for Migration (IOM) handled the administration for the return of another 696 foreigners to their home countries.
The returns to their country are funded by the European Return Fund and National resources.
