Greek Hospital Hygeia Employer of Year

ygeiaHygeia Hospital in Greece was awarded the first prize in the category Employer of the year, according to the results of the pan-European competition European Business Awards 2012/2013.

As announced, the companies’ evaluation has been undertaken by the international judges of European Business Awards. Over 150 esteemed judges, made up of European business leaders, academics and entrepreneurs have been involved in the robust, four-stage awards process which included written submissions, video entries judging and face-to- face presentations.

Entrants were judged on a vast array of business markers including innovation, ethics and international mind-set, according to Business Awards Europe website. In the 2013 awards more than 15,000 businesses from 27 countries all over Europe participated.

Hygeia Group CEO, Areti Souvatzoglou, noted among other things that, “This top distinction consists a great honor for us and our country, as we managed to show Greece off all around Europe and even at the field of working relationships and working environment that are tested in these difficult times we are experiencing.”

“Our employees are the heart of our business activity. The maintenance –even the increase- of jobs, the additional benefits –financial and non financial- and chiefly the recognition of the employees’ contribution are the triptych of the recipe,” Souvatzoglou added.

The institution of European Business Awards, which started in 2007, is the most projected and important competition of business awards in Europe. It recognizes and rewards business excellence, good tactics and innovation in companies that operate all around the European Union.

The Greek company GAEA Products SA was awarded in the Import/Export category.
