The Greek National Broadcasting Council has rejected the request of the 9th Athens Pride organizers to broadcast it as a social message ad on TV.
According to the council’s decision, the spot “cannot be characterized as a social message.”
According to the organizers’ complaints, the reason why the Greek NBC representatives stated the request was not well received and thus denied was because it contained a Lesbian kiss.
At the same time, the management of STASY company which manages the Metro, did not accept to use posters of the particular event.
The Athens Pride Festival 2013 will be held on June 8.
