Olympiacos won Real Madrid to become European Basketball Champion for the 3rd time

Olympiakos beat Real Madrid (100 -88) in London to win their 3rd Euroleague Championship; their second in a row.
Down 27-10 after the first period to Real Madrid, defending Turkish Airlines Euroleague basketball champion Olympiakos roared back with a scintillating performance to repeat as champions with a 100-88 victory, led by all-star shooting guard Vassilis Spanoulis.
Vassilis Spanoulis of Olympiacos Piraeus was named 2012-13 bwin Euroleague MVP at the EFES Euroleague Awards Ceremony held at the City Hall in London, England on Thursday. Acie law of Olympiacos was named MVP of the final.

Olympiacos and Real Madrid qualified for the the final after both teams recorded victories at London’s 02 Arena on Friday.
Olympiacos basketball club, founded in 1931, is one of the most successful in Greece and a traditional powerhouse of the Euroleague.
They have won ten Greek League titles, nine Greek Cups, three Euroleague championships and one Triple Crown. They play their home matches at Peace and Friendship Stadium.
Olympiacos were also European Champions for the second time last year at the Euroleague 2011–12 Final Four in Istanbul.
