Dr. Pantos Leads IVF Method in Greece

pregnant-woman-exam-room-photo-420x420-dtynan-1126At least 600 Australian children were born in Greece with the method of IVF (In Vitro Fertilization) that the Greek-Australian Dr. Kostas Pantos has adopted in the clinic of human reproduction, Genesis.

This was his statement during an interview with the Australian National Broadcasting Network SBS. Pantos is a famous scientist whose innovations have many times occupied the Australian and international press.

According to Pantos, many couples from Australia come to Greece with their own gene to receive a foreign ovum after failing to find an appropriate one in Australia. A typical example is that of a woman from Melbourne who made 40 unsuccessful attempts in Australia, while in Greece she got pregnant with twins in the very first attempt.

“Australians also prefer coming to Greece”, said Pantos, “because in Australia the donator has to be a familiar person who will have access to the kid, so as when the kid grows up, he/she could meet his/her biological father or mother. Neither the couples nor the donators like this situation and that is what makes Greece a popular country for IVF.”
