The Ministry of Environment and Climate Change announced that a package of €60 million will be given for the restoration and enhancement of public areas by planting trees, installing renewable energy equipment, using special friendly environmental materials at squares and parks.
The Ministry called all municipalities and bodies to submit their proposals on the issue mentioned above.
According to the Eleftherotypia newspaper, proposals will be accepted from September 1st until October 31st. The budget of the draft proposals must be within €500.000 to €6 million.
Within the next week, a very pioneering idea is going to be applied. The municipalities will be sponsored to pot plants on the roofs of public buildings. This Fund regards ”Green Rooms in Public Buildings”. This movement is already being discussed by the Mps.
