76th Thessaloniki Trade Fair Transformed into Stronghold for Papandreou

3.500 Police officers are to guard Prime Minister G. Papandreou  to prevent any disruptions at the 76th Trade Fair in Thessaloniki.

Last year Dr. Prapasvesis managed to throw his shoe at the prime minister. Such disturbances will not be repeated, announced the Hellenic Police.

Members of the EL.AS expect the protest to be huge, but ”indignants” will not be in the position to approach G. Papandreou.

Counter-terrorism operations will be in action. Reinforcement will be sent from Athens a few days before the big trade fair.
