A 21-one year old Italian tourist was murdered by another tourist during a violent fight in one of Mykonos’ most famous nightclubs on Friday, 29 July, around 5.00 am. The fight broke out when two young groups of tourists sitting next to each other at different tables started arguing over a bottle of liquor. The young Italian, realizing that he and his friends were out of money and alcohol, tried to take the bottle from the people next to him.
This resulted in a brawl during which one of the tourists hit the young Italian on the head with a bottle. He died instantly. The tourist responsible for his murder admitted his guilt upon his arrest by local police.
