Iran's Cultural & Tourism Week Begins in Athens

Iran’s Cultural and Tourism Week has kicked off in Athens.  It is an effort to introduce Persian art, culture, and tourist attractions.
Iran’s Ambassador to Greece Mehdi Honardoust, officially inaugurated the event at the Athens Royal Olympic Hotel, IRNA reported on Sunday.
During the ceremony, officials said that Iran and Greece have a rich historical and cultural background which can attract tourists from all around the world.
The Iranian envoy expressed hope that holding cultural weeks would help the two countries increase cooperation in all sectors.
An exhibition of Iranian handicrafts is also held on the sidelines of the event.
Iran’s cultural week in Greece will run until February 19th.
Earlier in February, the Iranian embassy in Kyrgyzstan held an Iranian cinema event in Bishkek.  A number of movies were displayed by distinguished Iranian filmmakers.
