2013 International Committee for Mediterranean Games Decides on France not Greece as Host

The International Committee for the Mediterranean Games (ICMG) decided in Paris on Friday, that Greece will not host the 2013 Mediterranean Games.  The Games were to be held in the central Thessaly cities of Volos and Larissa, according to sources.
ICMG, which met in Paris on Friday, said organisers in Volos-Larissa failed to meet deadlines in the contruction of required facilities, especially the athletes’ village.
