Greece could be added to the UK's "green list," or no-quarantine list, soon according to the UK ambassador to Greece speaking on Tuesday. 

Greece recorded 1,239 new cases of the coronavirus Thursday, which marks 142 fewer instances than the 1,381 cases recorded Wednesday.

Greece remained on the UK's "Amber List" in the newest revisiting of the travel advisory, despite improving coronavirus situation.

According to proposed legislation, UK citizens traveling abroad "without a reasonable excuse" would face a stiff 5,000 BGP ($7,000) fine.
