Greece will no longer enforce mandatory face masks in outdoor spaces, announced the Ministry of Health late on Wednesday.

Greek Minister Giannis Plakiotakis stated that Greek ferries will use vaccination certificates, and self-tests to allow the season to start.

Coronavirus cases are on the rise in Greece as high school students and teachers are required to take self-tests for the virus twice a week.

Greece started the the free distribution of Covid-19 self-tests by pharmacies, exclusively to high school students aged 16-18 and teachers.
