When Arnold Schwarzenegger, a renowned bodybuilder, Hollywood actor and former governor of California, felt unhappy with a massive hole in his Los Angeles neighborhood, he decided to take things into his own hands and fix the problem.

Along with his assistant, he fixed the hole in the road caused by the pothole that was located in the Brentwood neighborhood.

In a video posted on Twitter on Tuesday, Schwarzenegger explained that the pothole had been causing problems for cars and bicycles for weeks. He encouraged others to take action instead of just complaining, saying, “Let’s not complain, let’s do something about it.”

He wrote on Twitter, “Today, after the whole neighborhood has been upset about this giant pothole that’s been screwing up cars and bicycles for weeks, I went out with my team and fixed it.”

Reaction From Neighbors

A neighbor who was grateful for his job yelled it out from her vehicle window while he worked. In his response, Schwarzenegger embodied his unique style by donning work boots, a leather jacket, and sunglasses that were evocative of his character in the film “Terminator.”

In a statement in which he highlighted the significance of acting and getting things done, he said, “You have to do it yourself. This is crazy. For three weeks I’ve been waiting for this hole to be closed.”

Daniel Ketchell, a spokeswoman for Schwarzenegger, said that the Brentwood area had requested repairs for the cracks and potholes that were caused by winter storms. Because of this, the previous governor took things into his own hands and fix one of the potholes by himself.

Repeated Service Requests

The proposal to remedy the considerable number of damaged roadways around the city, which Mayor Karen Bass referred to as unprecedented, was unveiled one week ago.

Since the 30th of December, approximately 20,000 service requests for road repairs have been received by the city of Los Angeles. As of the 6th of April, municipal personnel has repaired at least 17,549 potholes, according to the reports from the authorities.

Since the Department of Public Works did not reply to an email query, it is unknown if the particular pothole that Arnold Schwarzenegger filled in had been on the Department of Public Works’ list of potholes that were due to be addressed.
