Currently, there are 489 patients with the coronavirus on ventilators in Greece, which is three more than the 486 patients undergoing the invasive treatment in the country on Tuesday.

Greek Health Minister dispels rumors of new lockdown

Greek Health Minister Thanos Plevris dispelled any rumors of a new lockdown in a statement to SKAI TV on Tuesday.

“At this time the philosophy behind the measures has only to do with the protection of the unvaccinated,” he stated.

“If more measures are necessary, these will be along the lines of the measures already announced and will concern restricted access to various locations or the possibility that access will be given with tracking and testing for the unvaccinated,” he continued.

“Schools will remain open and infections in schools are currently much lower than forecast,” Plevris added.
