New Democracy lawmaker and former journalist Konstantinos Bogdanos was the apparent target of an explosion Tuesday evening in Athens, Greece. The explosion damaged the entrance to his home and his car, which had been parked outside.

Gas canisters exploded at 7:45 PM in the northern Athens suburb of Kifissia, creating a fire that damaged the home and car of the MP as well as the vehicle that belongs to the lawmaker’s wife. Neither of them were injured.

The fire was quickly put out by firefighters and members of Greece’s explosive ordnance disposal team (TEEM) were sent to the area to examine the scene and collect forensic evidence of the blast.

This is a developing story.
