The Covid-19 update in Greece on Saturday shows a gradual decrease in the number of new infections and deaths, with 510 cases and 20 deaths, and 323 currently intubated.
Of the 510 new cases, seven were identified after checks at the country’s gateways. The total number of cases since the beginning of the pandemic reached 148,370, of which 52.1 percent are men.
Of the total number of cases since the beginning of the pandemic, 5,721 (3.9 percent) are considered to be related to travel from abroad and 45,355 (63.7 percent) are related to an already known case.
Currently, 323 people are intubated, with a median age being 69 years. Of the 323 patients who are intubated, 225 (69.7 percent) are men.
Also, 87.6 percent of intubated patients have an underlying disease or are aged 70 years and older. To this day, 1,028 patients have been discharged from ICU since the beginning of the pandemic.
Finally, the 20 new deaths bring the total to 5,441 since the beginning of the pandemic, of which 3,213 (59.1 percent) are men.
The median age of the deceased is 79 years and 95.4 percent of them had an underlying disease and/or were 70 years old and over.
