Pfizer CEO: "Not Sure Coronavirus Vaccine Protects Against New Variants"

Pfizer CEO Albert Bourla said that he and his company are not sure if their vaccine will be effective against any new coronavirus variants. “We are cautiously optimistic though,” he noted.
Recently, a new variant of the virus that was detected in the UK has alarmed scientists.
Speaking exclusively to Greece’s national broadcaster from his office at the Pfizer HQ, Bourla also noted that Greece will be among the first countries to receive the new vaccine, in an operation coordinated by the EU.
