Brutal Murder of 86-Year-Old Pensioner by Teenagers Shocks Greece

Two teenagers — a girl age 12 and her 14-year-old brother — were arrested as suspects in the brutal murder of an 86-year-old pensioner in Thessaloniki inside his home, earlier in the week.
Police say that the two teens, identified by security cameras, confessed to the killing, after they invaded the house to steal money and other valuables. The weapon used in the home invasion, said to be a sharp instrument, had been initially used by the homeowner in defense before begin taken away and used against him, according to reports.
They admitted they punched the elderly man several times in the face and the body and stole 250 euros and a gold chain.
The unfortunate victim was transferred to a local hospital with severe injuries. He died two days afterward from injuries he had sustained in the home invasion.
According to the police, the murder was organized by the teens’ grandparents who where present at the robbery, keeping a lookout outside the house. They were also arrested.
