Greece has been under a national lockdown for more than forty days now, despite this, intubations and deaths due to the coronavirus pandemic remain very high in the country.
On Saturday afternoon it was announced that a total of 64 people died from Covid-19 in the country. There are currently 577 intubated patients with the novel coronavirus in all of the nation’s hospitals.
Additionally, the Greek Health authorities said that a total of 1,194 new cases were diagnosed in the past 24-hour period, 22 of which were found during routine testing at Greece’s airports and ports.
The total death toll in Greece since the beginning of the pandemic is now 3,540.
