A moderate earthquake measuring 4.5 on the Richter scale hit near the town of Thebes some 70 km (45 miles) north of Athens on Wednesday.
The epicenter was reported to be 13 km east of Thebes and at a depth of 5 km (3.10 miles), according to the Geodynamic Institute of Athens.
There have been no reports of damage so far.
