Greece in Shock as Country Records 71 New Deaths Despite Lockdown

The Greek National Organization of Health, EODY, announced on Sunday afternoon that 71 people had died in the last 24 hours after contracting COVID-19.
It was also announced that 1,698 cases of COVID-19 had been diagnosed over the last day.
There are currently 392 intubated patients in intensive care units around the country’s hospitals, a new record figure.
The figures from Saturday had shown that 2,835 new individuals had been diagnosed with the coronavirus, with 38 additional men and women dying from the disease.
The situation in Thessaloniki, the capital of Macedonia and Greece’s second-largest city, remains critical, where new ICU units are being added. all the time in a race to provide enough beds for those who need them.
