Greece: 295 New Cases of Covid-19, Seven Deaths

Greece recorded 295 new cases of the coronavirus on Monday, along with seven new deaths.
Of the new cases, 48 are linked known outbreaks, and 40 were identified during routine testing at Greece’s borders.
In total, there have been 22,652 cases of the virus in Greece since the start of the pandemic, including all those who have recovered. Of the total cases, 3,315 have been connected to foreign travel, and 9,218 are associated with contact with a known case.
As of Monday, 91 patients with the virus are intubated in intensive care. The median age of these patients is 68, and just 25 of them are women.
Just over 91% of these patients are over the age of 70 or have preexisting conditions.
Since the start of the pandemic, 240 patients have been discharged from intensive care units around the country.
The seven new deaths recorded on Monday bring the total number of deaths in Greece to 456.
Of those who lost their lives with the virus, 96.5% were over the age of 70 or had underlying health issues.
The median age of those who passed away with the virus is 79, and just 174 of them were women.
