Coronavirus Update: 280 New Cases, 13 Deaths in Greece

Greece’s National Public Health Organization (EODY) announced on Sunday 280 new cases of Covid-19 and 13 deaths, while 93 patients are currently in intensive care.
The total number of deaths has reached 449 since the beginning of the pandemic, with 169 of them (37.6 percent) being men.
The median age of the deceased was 79 years and 96.4 percent had an underlying disease and/or were of age 70 and over.
The total number of cases is 22,358 since the beginning of the pandemic, of which 55.7 percent are men.
Of the 280 new cases, 41 are associated with known outbreaks and 25 were detected following checks at the country’s gateways.
Of the total cases, 3,271 (14.6 percent) are considered related to travel from abroad and 9093 (40.7 percent) are related to an already known case.
The median age of the 93 patients who are intubated is 68 years. Twenty-six of them  (28.0 percent) are women and the rest are men.
Also, 91.4 percent of intubated patients have an underlying disease or are 70 years of age or older. Since the beginning of the outbreak, 238 patients have been discharged from  ICU.
