Kelly Vlahakis-Hanks, CEO of ECOS, talks about expanding her company while practicing some of the best work and environmental ethics.

How can a company have an award-winning green operation, pay one of the highest minimum wages to its employees, manufacture in the US and still be very profitable?

We turned to ECOS President and CEO, Kelly Vlahakis-Hanks, to tell us how her late Greek immigrant father manage to create a green giant in the US, and how today that giant continues to expand under her leadership, while holding onto some of the best work and environmental ethics.

Earth Friendly Products, the leading manufacturer in green household and commercial cleaning products, has been a steady winner of the Safer Choice Partner of the Year Award from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency for several past years.

Besides being one of the greenest companies in the United States, Earth Friendly Products has also been recognized as a top employer. The company manages to run a very profitable operation, while it pays its employees a minimum wage of $17 per hour.
