The 2020 Primetime Emmy Awards, the first major awards show since the start of the current pandemic, took place online on September 20.

TV’s biggest awards, hosted by Jimmy Kimmel, went fully virtual in order to adhere to safety protocols. Big winners of the night included “Schitt’s Creek” and “Succession”.

The only major Greek-American nomination was Jennifer Aniston for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series, for her role on “The Morning Show”, though she lost to Zendaya for “Euphoria”. She was, however, the evening’s first present and made a surprise virtual appearance with Lisa Kudrow and Courtney Cox during the ceremony.
