Antetokounmpo Named NBA MVP Once Again

For an amazing second year in a row, Greek Freak Giannis Antetokounmpo has been chosen the Most Valuable Player in the National Basketball Association. The Athens native plays as a forward for the Milwaukee Bucks and is a fan favorite in games in both his native country and in the US.

Despite his team not making it to the NBA finals this year, the standout rose head and shoulders above the other MVP candidates, taking the coveted award for the second year in his astonishing career.

On top of these prestigious awards, Antetokounmpo has also been lauded for his defensive prowess in 2020, his four appearances in All Star games, from 2017-2020, and his two appearances as a player who was considered to be in the top five in the league, during 2019 and 2020.

Although not having won an NBA championship with the Bucks, Antetokounmpo’s skills have made him a standout from the beginning of his career. This year he averaged 29.5 points per game, up form an already-impressive 27.7 last year. He had 13.6 rebounds per game, up from 12.5, and hd 5.6 assists.

On top of those numbers, the Greek Freak also had one steal and one block per game this  season. His shot percentage was 63.1% for two-pointers, 30.4% in three-pointers and an amazing 63.% in shots.
