The National Hellenic Society in Washington, DC recently held their 5th Annual Heritage America Program virtually for high-achieving and promising Greek-American students.

The event, which was hosted from July 8-10, 2020, included a series of online discussions that featured a total of 44 speakers. Some of them included prominent US policymakers, both current and former, as well as opinion leaders, all of whom being of Greek descent.

A major topic in these conversations included how Hellenic and Orthodox principles helped to not only shape the success of many of the speakers but also to allow them to carry on.

The Heritage America Program is hosted every year by both the National Hellenic Society and established lobbying firm Manatos & Manatos, which also helped in advertising the event.

Below is a list of some of the speakers that were featured on the program:

ABC News Chief Anchor George Stephanopoulos
Ambassador of Greece to the US Alexandra Papadopoulou
First US Director of National Intelligence John Negroponte
Georgetown Cupcakes founders Sophie Kallinis LaMontagne and Katherine Kallinis Berman
Greek Orthodox Archbishop of America, His Eminence Archbishop Elpidophoros
National Hellenic Society Founder George Marcus
News Chief Anchor George Stephanopoulos

A complete and comprehensive list of this year’s speakers can be found at the website of Manatos & Manatos as well as photos of the online discussions that took place.
