Popular Greek Singer Gives Concert on Wheels for Athenians

Popular Greek singer Alkistis Protopsalti gave a concert from the top of a truck as it was moving through the center of Athens on Saturday.
“As people cannot come to listen to me, I decided to go to them,” Protopsalti said. The singer dedicated the unusual concert to all health staff battling Covid-19.
Hundreds of people watched Protopsalti sing from their balconies and terraces. Some defied the restrictions on movement and came out from their homes to join the fun.
Among them was the Greek PM Kyriakos Mitsotakis who came out of his office to greet Protopsalti and her band when it passed outside the official residence at Maximos Mansion.

There were no handshakes of course. Just clapping and greetings from afar.
