Italian authorities announced on Saturday that 1,049 people have tested positive for the COVID19 Coronavirus, while 29 people have died.
The country also announced that all schools in the regions of Lombardy, Veneto and Emilia-Romagna will remain closed.
Italy was the first European country to see the number of cases and deaths from the Coronavirus outbreak spike at the beginning of last week.
