Netflix’s Chief Content Officer, Ted Sarandos, has been invited to give the keynote address at the Banff World Media Festival.
The festival runs from Jun 14 to June 17 in Alberta, Canada. The Greek-American entertainment mogul will give his event speech on June 15.
When asked about the Canadian entertainment event, Sarandos stated, “Netflix is proud to be a part of Banff, working with our incredible partners and deepening our commitment to a vibrant Canadian creative community whose work is seen and loved by the world.”
Last year’s keynote speakers was Dreamworks co-founder Jeffrey Katzenberg. Usually, the events of the Banff World Media Festival seek to address the constantly changing trends and nature of the entertainment industry, and predict what the future landscape of entertainment will look like.
As Banff Executive Director, Jenn Kuzmyk, stated about Sarandos, “the festival is thrilled to welcome him back to beautiful Banff for what is sure to be an inspiring keynote, outlining his vision and tackling some of the big questions in the industry and where it’s headed amid continuing seismic change.”
