Greece Saves At Least 184 Migrants From the Sea in Less Than 24 Hours

At least 184 migrants and refugees have been rescued over the last twenty-four hours by the Greek Coast Guard in five different incidents which took place between Wednesday and Thursday.
More specifically, thirty-four migrants and refugees were located in the sea area near the city of Alexandroupolis in Thrace, seven off the island of Chios, 109 off Samos and thirty-five off the island of Kos.
An additional 122 migrants and refugees arrived by dinghy on the Greek islands of the Eastern Aegean and were taken away by the Hellenic Coast Guard.
Forty-three of these refugees and migrants were located on the shores of Lesvos in two different incidents, while 33 were found on Chios and 46 on Samos.
Greece continues to struggle with the migrant crisis, with thousands more people arriving on its shores from Turkey every month of the year.
