Greek Premier Kyriakos Mitsotakis met on Saturday afternoon with the great composer and lyricist Mikis Theodorakis at the latter’s home in Athens.
The two men have a long-lasting relationship since Theodorakis was also friends with the Prime Minister’s father, Konstantinos Mitsotakis.

Theodorakis told the Prime Minister that it was exactly 50 years ago when he first met him in Paris, at a time when the Premier was just two years of age.
Mitsotakis and Theodorakis spoke together about a wide spectrum of issues, from music to Greece’s national interests and the latest developments in the Eastern Mediterranean.
It is noted that Theodorakis, who is 94 years of age, was released from the hospital in March 2019, after sixteen days of treatment for a heart condition.
