At Least 12 Dead as Migrant Boat Capsizes in Northwestern Greece

The Greek Coast Guard has recovered 12 bodies on Saturday after a boat carrying migrants capsized off the island of Antipaxoi in North-Western Greece.
At least 21 people were rescued as the boat, carrying around 50 migrants, sank 12 nautical miles southwest of the island, apparently heading for Italy.
One of the passengers alerted the authorities by calling the European Emergency Number 112.
Two cargo ships have already been deployed close to the point of the sinking, while six Coast Guard vessels and two Navy helicopters are combing the area for survivors.
It remains a mystery what caused the boat to sink, as the sea in the area was reported to be calm and the weather generally favorable. Where the boat was coming from is also not yet known.
