Men's Junior Water Polo Team Wins Gold for Greece at World Championships

Greece’s junior water polo team won gold on Friday evening at this year’s World Men’s Junior Water Polo Championships, which took place at the Al-Nasar Sport Club in Kuwait.
The Greek team beat Serbia 6-4 and managed to secure first place once again in this important championship, where the future stars of the water polo world compete against each other.

The young Greek squad also had the distinction of retaining their place at the top, since Greece had also won the previous World Championship, in 2017.
The Greek polo team led 2-0 at the quarter and continued its dominance with a score of 3-1 at halftime.
The final period, which saw a great deal of action, found Greece at the top once again, beating the Serbian team 6-4.

Greek Minister of Sports Lefteris Avgenakis, along with the coaches and everyone involved in this important victory, congratulated the team on their triumphant return to the very top of the World Championship podium.
