The 2020 Golden Globe Nominations have been announced — and one of the biggest winners before the ceremony even takes place is Netflix. The streaming service, run by Ted Sarandos, received a stunning total of 34 nominations this year for its movies and TV shows.

“Marriage Story” is the most nominated film, with six nods, while Martin Scorsese’s “The Irishman” received five nominations. Honorary awards will be given to Tom Hanks, who will receive the Cecil B. deMille Award, and Ellen DeGeneres, who will receive the Carol Burnett Award.

There are a couple of diaspora Greeks nominated for the 2020 Golden Globes as well. Jennifer Aniston received a nomination for Best Performance by an Actress in a Television Series – Drama, and Alexandre Desplat received a nomination for Best Original Score – Motion Picture, for his score of “Little Women.”

The Golden Globes ceremony will take place on January 5, 2020 at the Beverly Hilton in Los Angeles. For a full list of the nominations, see the information below.
