5.1 Earthquake Shakes Greece's Rhodes

An earthquake measuring 5.1 on the Richter scale hit 37 km (23 miles) southeast of the island of Rhodes at 7:44 a.m. local time.
According to the Athens Geodynamic Institute its depth was 16.8 km.
The tremor was felt throughout the Dodecanese islands. There have been no reports of damage.
Efthymios Lekkas, head of Greece’s Earthquake Planning and Protection Organization, told TV channel Skai this quake is not connected to the Anatolian Plate and that aftershocks of up to 4.5 on the Richter scale should be expected.
