Family Dog Kills Three-Month Old Baby in Greece

The children’s hospital of Penteli

A three-month-old baby girl was killed on Thursday at her home by the family dog, reportedly a Rottweiler, at Glyka Nera, east of Athens.
According to neighbors, the distraught 35-year old mother rushed her baby to the Penteli children’s hospital on her own, after she was bitten several times all over her body.
When they arrived at the hospital, the unfortunate infant was already dead.
Police are now investigating the circumstances of the baby’s death. Specialist psychologists have rushed to the apartment to support the other members of the family.
Speaking to reporters after the incident, Achilles Papadopoulos, a neighbor of the family, said that the dog looked quite aggressive.
”They kept it at the balcony most of the time, it looked a bit aggressive,” Papadopoulos noted.
