Archbishop Makarios of Australia Set to Make Pastoral Visit to Adelaide

There is little rest for Australia’s newly-elected His Eminence Archbishop Makarios before his next journey, following his busy two-week visit to Melbourne. This time he will be making his way to Adelaide, South Australia, in order to meet with the Greek Orthodox community there.

The Archbishop’s first pastoral visit  to South Australia since his enthronement in June will be on Saturday, August 31.

His Eminence’s five-day schedule includes attending a number of official and community events where he will meet with local people as well as key stakeholders of the city of Adelaide.

These visits are an important part of welcoming the new Archbishop to the shores of Australia and are part of a broader pastoral tour he is taking to major cities around the country.
