Adam Sandler is putting together a Halloween-themed comedy for Netflix which is set to star Emmyaward-winning actor Michael Chiklis.
The film follows Sandler, as Hubie Dubois, whose devotion to going all out on Halloween earns him the mockery of his neighbors in Salem, Massachusetts.
However, one year Hubie finds that something truly scary is happening in Salem on Halloween, and it’s up to him to save the day.
Sandler is co-writing the script with Tim Herlihy, his collaborator on plenty of famous films including “Big Daddy”, “The Wedding Singer” and “Billy Madison”.
Plenty of SNL cast members will appear in the film include Melissa Villaseñor, Maya Rudolph, Kenan Thompson, Mikey Day, and Tim Meadows. Sandler himself is a veteran of the legendary late night comedy show.
Other notable actors you can expect to see, in addition to Michael Chiklis, are Ray Liotta, Steve Buscemi, Julie Bowen of “Modern Family” fame, and Kevin James. Even basketball legend Shaquille O’Neill will make an appearance.
The project is still untitled, and there is little information as to who Chiklis will be playing. Over the last few years, he has played major roles in high profile TV projects including “American Horror Story” and “Gotham”.
You can also look forward to seeing Chiklis in the new TV show “Coyote”, a border patrol drama produced by Paramount.
