A 4.7 Magnitude Earthquake Hits Central Greece

A 4.7 magnitude earthquake hit the region of Aetolia-Acarnania in central Greece on Saturday evening at 18:08.

According to the Geodynamic Institute of the National Observatory of Athens, the tremor’s epicenter was 28 kilometers northwest of Agrinio, near Amfilochia, with a focal depth of 28 kilometers.

Reports say the tremor was felt in Amfilohia, Agrinio, and Messolonghi. There have been no reports of injuries or damage.

Seismologists have reassured residents that this tremor is probably the main earthquake.
